London tourists

Doing the London tourist thing big time with a lovely flat in the suburbs of London courtesy of a friend of Mhairi. The weather is behaving beautifully and the England soccer team are very ordinary to the distress of all around us - but at least they are still in the cup for the moment. And the English flag is everywhere while they remain in the hunt.
Made the boy very happy by going to Legoland in Windsor with everything in miniature Lego as well as roller coasters, water rides and Susie's perpetual favourite - the merry-go-round.

Ciaran and I went into the Tower of London one day, being more fans of history, gore and cruelty than the girls. And followed that with a trip to the London Dungeons to be scared. The women folk meanwhile went to cafes, and shops which was about the same cost but more filling, chocolate enriched and sedate.

The Natural history museum , regular haunt of Joseph when we lived here had great bug, human and dinosaur displays.
But it is exhausting travelling around London on the underground - an hour and a half from flat to town. Hard to imagine living here again but what a great place to visit for all. Due to rain any day now as Wimbledon is about to start but hopefully it will hold off until we arrive in gorgeous West Australia.
